We explore how sustainability can be integrated into learning environments in ways that are meaningful and accessible for children. Building on play, curiosity, and co‑creative processes, we look at how children can experience, understand, and actively engage with sustainability in their everyday lives.

Inspired by our practice in Denmark, we connect the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals with children’s concrete daily experiences through sensory, recognizable, and meaningful activities. The workshop highlights ways in which learning environments can strengthen children’s agency and make sustainability a natural part of everyday pedagogical practice.
